About
Manistique Bible Church:
Manistique Bible Church was started in 1999 by a group of local believers.
They met in several locations in town, including a local store-front
and the Hiawatha Community Center for several months. After meeting
for sometime, the believers extended the call to Pastor David Chambers.
Pastor Chambers help the congregation to organize, incorporate and
become Manistique Bible Church. He also led them to build a new building
in Thompson, MI just six miles west of Manistique.
In 2006 Pastor Chambers announced that God was leading him into evangelism.
In June of 2006 Manistique Bible Church extended its call to Pastor
Hank St. Amour III, a native to the U.P, to be its next pastor. In
September of 2006 Pastor Hank St. Amour became the pastor as Pastor
Chambers and his family went out into evangelism.
Manistique Bible Church remains committed to loving God and touching
people with the Gospel of Christ. Our greatest desire is to glorify
God in all that we do. We are an evangelistic, mission-minded, Christ-centered
Church. The Word of God is our final authority making us a Bible-Preaching,
Bible-Practicing, Bible Believing Independent New Testament Church.
It would be our pleasure to have you at one of our services. Please
consider this an open invitation to be our honored guest. We look
forward to seeing you soon!

Pastor
Hank St. Amour III
Pastoring a church in my home Upper
Peninsula has been a great joy and privilege for me. I trusted Christ
as my Savior at the age of 15 while attending Munising Baptist School.
I was called into the ministry shortly after and attended Pensacola
Christian College. There I met my wife Sherry in 1995. We were married
in August of 1999 and I became the Youth Pastor at West Florida
Baptist Church and Sherry taught in the school, West Florida Baptist
Academy. In March of 2004 God laid upon my heart to come back to
the UP to be a pastor. After a year of prayer and seeking God's
will, Sherry and our two children Nora and Hankie headed up north
in June 2005. In 2006, our son Owen was born, and I became pastor.
Since then, we have added Jonathan and Evelyn to our family, and
I look forward to many years of service here." God had blessed
this church with a good foundation, and I am looking forward to
many years of service here!
