The Scriptures
We believe that the Scriptures is the verbally inspired and infallible,
authoritative Word of God. We believe that the King James Version
has been preserved for the English-speaking people and, therefore,
is the standard used at Manistique Bible Church.
God
We believe that there is but one living and true God, an infinite,
all-knowing Spirit, perfect in His attributes, One in essence, eternally
existing in three persons-- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We further
believe that each member of the Holy Trinity is equally deserving
of worship and obedience.
Jesus Christ
We believe int he virgin birth of Christ, His deity, sinless life,
vicarious death, along with His bodily resurrection and ascencsion.
We further believe in Christ's personal, imminent, and pre-millenial
return.
Holy Spirit
We believe that Holy Spirit is a divine person, equal with God tha
Father and God the Son and of the same nature. We recognize His divine
activity in creation, incarnation, written revelation, and the work
of salvation.
Sin
We believe that man was created in innocnce under the law of his Maker,
but by voluntary transgression fell from his sinless state; consequently,
all mankind are sinners, not by constraint bu by choice. Therefore,
mankind is under just condemnation without defense or excuse.
Satan
We believe that Satan is a fallen angel, the arch enemy of God and
man, tha unholy god of this world, for whom the place of eternal punishment
(Lake of Fire) is prepared.

Salvation
We believe that our Lord Jesus Christ suffered and died as a substitutionary
sacrifice for the sins of the whole world. He arose from the dead
and ascended into heaven where He is seated at the right hand of God.
Man is lost and must be born again to enter the kingdom of God. We
believe that salvation is wholly of God by grace ont he basis of the
merit of the shed blood of Jesus Christ and not on the basis of human
merit of works.
Security
We believe that all the redeemed are kept by God's power and are thus
secure in Christ forever. We further believe that God's Word clearly
forbids the use of Christian liberty as an occasion for sinful living
and carnality.
Church
We believe that Jesus Christ founded the visible local church which
consists of a group of believers baptized by immersion who have assembled
together for the purpose of fulfilling the Great Commission. We believe
the local church to be completely autonomous and self-governing. We
further believe that there are tow ordinances: baptism by immersion
and the Lord's Supper.
Heaven and Hell
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and lost: those that
are saved unto the resurrection of eternal life in heaven and those
that are lost unto the resurrection of eternal damnation in a literal
lake of fire.
Last Things
We believe in the pre-tribulation rapture of the church saints, followed
by the seven-year tribulation. We further believe int he pre-millennial
return of Christ to the earth and His literal rule of one thousand
years. After this, unbelievers of all ages will stand at the Great
White Throne and be judged and cast into a lake of fire, while the
believers will have their works judged at the Judment Seat of Christ.
